Home storage designed for the outdoors
The Anker SOLIX Solarbank Max AC is a complete home battery: it stores electricity produced by your panels or drawn from the grid, then releases it when the household needs it. Its 7000 Wh (7 kWh) capacity can be raised up to 42 kWh, which leaves room to enlarge the system if your needs change.
Its 3500W 230 V output is bidirectional: energy flows both ways, from the grid into the battery and from the battery to the house. The unit is managed through its Wi-Fi connectivity.
What it is used for
Family homes
A household with photovoltaic panels can keep the day’s production to use in the evening, when cooking, lighting and entertainment put the most load on the installation. The 3500W PV input receives the solar array.
Small commercial buildings
A workshop, a practice, a guesthouse or a farm building may also consider it to smooth out consumption. Have a qualified installer carry out a study so the whole system is sized for your real usage. The same reasoning applies if you plan to add capacity later: discuss the expansion with the installer from the start.
Construction and weather resistance
LiFePO4 chemistry is used for the cells. The housing carries an IP66 rating, covering dust and powerful water jets, and works within a temperature range of -20° to 55°. These values allow a sheltered outdoor position, for example against a garage wall; still, choose a spot that cannot be submerged and keep it away from heat sources.
Placement and connection
At 73 kg, the unit cannot be moved by one person: plan for two people and a clear path. The support must be level and strong enough for this mass. Connection to the distribution board, the grid and the panels is work for a qualified installer, who will also check local rules and any formalities with the network operator. Read the manufacturer’s manual before any intervention.

Safety guidelines
Never open it: internal work is reserved for the manufacturer or an authorised technician. Keep the housing clear so heat can escape, store nothing flammable nearby and do not exceed the power figures given above. After a violent impact, deformation or an unusual smell, switch the installation off and have it checked before returning it to service.
Routine care
From time to time, inspect the cables, connectors and housing, and clean the surface with a damp cloth, never with a pressure washer. Keep the top free of leaves or accumulated snow. If the unit has to stay out of service for a long period, follow the storage advice in the manual.
