Mounting a solar panel steadily

The mount determines the panel’s orientation, tilt and hold. This category includes balcony mounts, ground bases with adjustable feet, tiltable aluminium mounts, galvanised steel models for flat roofs and a LOXX mounting kit for a SUNBEAMsystem panel. Some mounts are supplied in pairs or sets of two, others singly: compare the contents of each listing with the number of panels you plan to install.

First measure the panel, length, width and the position of its fixing holes, then compare them with the mount. Next check the type of location: balcony railing, ground or flat roof. Choose a fixed or adjustable tilt depending on how much freedom you want. For a fixing in a shared building or on a roof, find out which rules apply before installing.
