Routing cables through a surface cleanly
Between the panel and the inside, a cable has to cross a surface without being damaged and without letting water in. This category offers roof or partition cable entries of 13 × 4.5 × 4 cm, double entries of 13 × 9.5 × 4 cm, a Scanstrut Ø 39 mm gland and a stainless-steel deck model. After installation, a visual check of the seal and fixings remains worthwhile, especially as these parts are exposed to rain, sun and temperature changes.
Before choosing, count the cables to pass through and measure their diameter: the Scanstrut gland, for example, is meant for cables of 2 to 8 mm. Then decide on the colour (white or black) and the mounting surface, whether roof, partition or boat deck. The blanking caps, for their part, protect unused MC4 connectors. If the product turns out not to suit you, returns are free within 30 days, alongside the 2-year legal warranty.
