A structure for balcony panels
Installing solar panels on a balcony is an increasingly common idea among tenants and apartment owners. A support is needed, however: laying a panel on a balcony floor limits its output and exposes it to falls. This Bluetti mounting structure is designed for that situation. The information we have is limited to the brand and the general use, so this sheet sets out to help you judge whether the product suits your balcony.
Assess your balcony first
Before thinking about the panel, look at the balcony itself. The following points deserve a clear answer:
- What is the railing made of: metal, wood, glass, concrete?
- What is the orientation and what does the nearby surrounding block out?
- Does the co-ownership or the landlord allow the installation?
- Where is the safest route for the cables?
Why orientation matters
A panel receives more light when it faces the sun’s path. A structure that lets you tilt it therefore gives some room for adjustment; check in the instructions whether the angles are adjustable on this model.
What is unknown and must be checked
Neither the weight, the dimensions, the maximum load nor the materials are given here. Do not buy this structure on the assumption that it carries any panel: compare the panel’s dimensions with those of the structure and ask yourself whether your balcony’s support is meant to take the fixing.
Fitting in practice
- Read the manufacturer’s instructions in full before taking out a tool.
- Assemble the structure on the ground following the sequence shown.
- Hook it to the intended load-bearing element, never to a decorative part.
- Place the panel with two people and tighten the hardware gradually.
- Route the cables so that they obstruct neither the walkway nor the closing of a door.
Connection to the household network or to a power station must follow local rules; call a qualified installer if you are unsure.

Safety
A balcony is exposed to wind, and a panel acts like a sail. If you have the slightest doubt about the strength of a fixing, do not mount the panel. No installation should overhang the balcony above a walkway. Check regularly that the hardware has not worked loose, especially after a storm.
Care and storage
Clean the structure and the panel with clear water and a soft cloth, with no abrasive product. In winter, if you take the installation down, dismantle it completely and store the parts dry, with the hardware in a bag so that nothing gets lost. Take a photo of the assembled structure before dismantling it: it will help you rebuild it in the same way next spring and notice any part that has deformed.
