Reinforcement for the big power stations
When a portable station holds a large energy reserve, a small panel takes days to recharge it. This 400 W model answers that need: its output, four times that of a 100 W panel, makes a serious solar recharge possible over one long clear day. It is made with N-type monocrystalline silicon using TOPCon technology.
Where to deploy it
Private users will take it out for an extended stay in a motorhome, a shed at the bottom of the garden or a boat at the quay. Professionals will see a solution for a supervision post, a site cabin or an outdoor event, provided they have checked the solar input of their equipment. As it carries a built-in XT60 cable, you plug it straight in if the device has that connector, or through a suitable adapter if it uses another.
Orientation and shade
The large surface is best laid on a flat area, away from branches and buildings. Think about the movement of the sun: a panel one metre wide and over two and a half metres long itself casts a noticeable shadow on the ground around it.
Dimensions and weight
Folded, it measures 659 x 967 x 36 mm; unfolded, it spreads over 2509 x 967 x 26 mm. Its weight of 10.2 kg means two people should take it out of a boot or move it over uneven ground. Plan a real ballast point, since such a surface catches the wind like a sail.
Commissioning steps
- Choose a spot away from walkways.
- Unfold it, holding the panel with both hands and with two people.
- Wedge the edges with weights, without drilling the material.
- Connect the built-in XT60 cable to the solar input once the panel is steady.
What stands out about the model
- 400 W in a single unit, useful for cutting the number of cables.
- XT60 output cable already integrated.
- An IP68 rating for a stated good resistance to water and dust.

Safety
An open-circuit voltage of 39.3 V calls for scrupulous comparison of the station’s limits with those of the panel. Never cut the built-in cable, never strain it in tension, and keep children at a distance while unfolding. Do not park a vehicle on the panel. Check also that the cable lies where nobody will catch a foot in it.
Maintenance
Remove dust with a damp cloth, dry, then fold along the original creases. Keep it in a dry place, flat, away from any heavy object. Before each season of use, inspect the cable sheath and the XT60 plug for cracks or discolouration and replace nothing yourself without consulting the manufacturer.
