A pocket-sized energy reserve for USB devices
EcoFlow’s TRAIL 200 DC is the lightest station in its series: it stores 192 Wh in a LiFePO4 cell and delivers that energy through USB only. There is no 230 V socket and no 12 V output: the product is aimed at people who mainly charge modern devices fed by a USB-A or USB-C cable.
When to pull it out of the bag
Picture a stay in a mountain hut, an outdoor shoot, a day’s fishing or a long train ride: the phone, tablet, e-reader and a USB-C PD-compatible laptop all find a shared socket here. A guide or reporter can use it to keep radios, compact cameras and spare batteries topped up. At home it also serves as a mini backup for a router or a lamp, provided they plug in via USB.

How to recharge it
It recharges over USB-C PD, either on a 100 W maximum input or a 140 W maximum input. A full recharge takes about 1.5 h. The matching charger is not mentioned in the specifications, so make sure yours delivers the right power. No dedicated solar input is listed; do not try to connect a panel without reading the manufacturer’s manual.
What to expect from the build
The case measures 12.6 × 11.5 × 16.7 cm and weighs 1.83 kg. It slips into a hiking pack or a laptop bag. No wireless connectivity is listed: no app to configure, you simply plug in and use it.
In practice
Connect your device with a good-quality cable, preferably the original. If your laptop asks for more than the port’s power, it will charge slowly or not at all: always check the label on its original adapter. Keep the station within reach, in the shade.

Safety
Do not expose it to rain or strong heat, do not leave it in a closed car in summer, and never open the case. Unplug any cable that heats abnormally.
Care
A dry cloth is enough, and the ports should be kept free of dust. At rest, keep it temperate and partly charged, then top it up now and then.
