How to know whether this model matches your installation
A three-phase supply distributes electricity over three phase conductors, which is common in larger houses, workshops and premises with machinery. Jackery’s three-phase smart meter is aimed at those situations. It observes the site’s energy exchanges and informs a compatible Jackery system, which can then set its output to the demand actually present. If your connection is single-phase, this is not the right version.
The working principle
The meter is installed once and then sends its measurements continuously. You read the values in the app or on the screen of the associated equipment. As the data sheet for this product is limited, the manufacturer’s manual must settle the list of compatible systems.
Use cases
- A house with a hob, heating or charging point wired to the three-phase supply.
- A workshop whose machines create irregular power demands.
- A small shop or office that wants to document its consumption from one day to the next.
A thin housing
The meter measures 94.5 × 19 × 68.5 mm. At 19 mm thick, it slips easily into an enclosure where space is tight. No weight or protection rating is stated: install it in a dry indoor room and refer to the manufacturer’s documentation for the precise conditions of use.
Installation steps
- Confirm that the supply really is three-phase.
- Switch off the supply and check that no voltage is present.
- Have the connection in the panel made by a qualified electrician.
- Link the meter to your system following the manual, then power up again.
Also plan a tidy cable route, away from sharp edges and hot areas.
What the model brings
- A version specific to three-phase, with no compromise on reading the site.
- A thin format that limits bulk.
- An accessory designed for the same brand’s range.
Technical specifications
- Brand: Jackery
- Dimensions: 94.5 × 19 × 68.5 mm
- Supply type: three phase (according to the product designation)
Safety to observe
On a three-phase network the voltages between conductors are higher than between phase and neutral, so take extra care and never work while live. Use conductors of an appropriate cross-section, tighten the terminals carefully and do not block the ventilation slots of the enclosure. Do not modify the meter and keep it away from water.
Care and storage
With the power off, a dry cloth is enough to dust the housing. Use a periodic check of the panel to verify that the terminals are tight. If putting it away, keep the product in its packaging in a dry place, with the manual, which will make a reinstallation easier. If you later add a large consumer, such as a heat pump, ask a professional whether the measuring arrangement is still suitable. Keep a note of which circuits feed which loads.
