Safety and upkeep
As long as the panel receives light, it produces voltage: do not let the cable contacts touch each other or any metal. Check that the controller tolerates 23.12 V open-circuit. After a spell of strong wind or sailing, inspect the eyelets and the lashings. Rinse with clear water, wipe with a soft cloth and, when taking it down, store the panel flat without folding it. Keep spare cord or fixings on hand so a worn tie can be replaced immediately.
