Why pick a black, flexible panel
On a converted van or a small boat, looks matter as much as output: an all-black module blends into the roof and hardly stands proud of it. The SUNBEAMSystem Tough Black delivers 111 W in a slim 106 x 54 cm format. Its flexible plastic material lets it follow a slightly domed surface, which a glass-faced panel could not do.
What it does day to day
Connected to a charge controller, it recharges a leisure, marine or cabin battery. A van traveller can offset the draw of a water pump or LED lamps; a tradesperson can keep a battery charged in a workshop vehicle parked for several days. For heavier loads, work out the real requirement before adding a second module.
What the construction details tell us
The data sheet states complete weatherproofing, which allows permanent outdoor mounting. The monocrystalline Sunpower cells have an efficiency above 22.5%. The cable leaves flush with the panel over 1.5 m, which avoids a raised junction box. No eyelets are provided, so how it stays in place depends on the method the manufacturer recommends.

Precautions
Keep connectors out of standing water and never leave a bare cable end hanging. The module produces power whenever light reaches it: cover it with an opaque sheet if you must work on the wiring. Stay within the controller’s limits and do not fold the panel sharply.
Cleaning and storage
Rinse with clear water and wipe with a soft cloth; harsh products may damage the surface. If you remove the module for a long period, keep it away from heat and sharp edges.
