Measuring three conductors with one harness
This cable harness combines three current transformers (CTs) for Anker SOLIX systems. A current transformer fits around a conductor and reads its current without interrupting the circuit. With three channels, the set can follow several conductors of the same supply, giving the management system a more detailed view of consumption. The stated rating is 120 A, the higher of the two ratings offered for the triple versions in the range.
The manufacturer information we hold does not list the compatible devices: check this in the manual before choosing.
Home and professional uses
For a house with heavy demand
A home that combines electric heating, a charging point and a busy kitchen draws more current than a simple dwelling. If the connection approaches high values, a 120 A rating gives more measuring headroom than a lower one.
For a commercial or trade site
Workshops, small warehouses, farms or offices can also be concerned when the line to observe carries a significant current. The installer must confirm that the rating matches the real conditions of the site.
Construction: what is known
The product is a cable set prepared for measurement. Neither the cable length, the sensor opening nor the connector type appears in the data received. It would be unwise to assume them; consult the documentation before planning the cable route and the distance to the unit.
Installation steps
- Switch the installation off and secure the board.
- Identify the three conductors to monitor.
- Fit each sensor in the direction recommended by the manufacturer.
- Route the cables away from sharp edges and hot parts.
- Have a professional check the work before power is restored.
Connection to a domestic electrical network is a job for a qualified installer.
What sets this model apart
- 120 A rating for more heavily loaded lines.
- Three measurement channels in a single harness.
- Same family as the single and lower-rated triple versions.
Technical specifications
- Brand: Anker
- Type: triple CT cable harness
- Rating: 120 A
Safety
High-current lines call for particular care. Never exceed the stated rating, do not modify the cables and do not use the harness if its sheath is damaged. Keep it away from moisture and heat sources; as no protection rating is given, avoid outdoor exposure without the manufacturer’s advice.
Care and storage
Check the sheaths, connectors and fixing points periodically, especially if the board runs warm or vibrates. Outside the installation, keep the harness loosely coiled, dry, at a moderate temperature and protected from knocks.
Choosing between ratings
Between 63 A and 120 A, the decision depends on the real current of the line, not on the power of the storage system. Have the installer assess this value, then pick the rating that covers the line with a reasonable margin.
