Saving daytime energy for the evening
This pack brings together the Solarbank Max main unit from Anker SOLIX and three extension batteries. Together they provide 28 kWh of capacity, meant to hold the electricity your solar panels produce and release it once the sun is gone: dinner, overnight laundry, or charging an electric car at off-peak hours. The main unit already holds 7000 Wh (7 kWh) and is expandable up to 42 kWh.
Who can use it
At home
A household with panels on the roof or in the garden gets a way to consume more of its own production instead of sending it to the grid. A large storage volume suits homes with high evening consumption in particular.
At work
A small shop, a farm or a workshop can use it to smooth out late-day demand. In every case, have the project sized by a professional who knows your real loads.
Estimating the usable volume
Before settling on a capacity, note how much you consume between late afternoon and sunrise: that is the slice the storage has to cover. Then compare it with the real output of your panels, season by season. A 28 kWh bundle is a sizeable reserve; if you are unsure, the option to expand up to 42 kWh lets you adapt the system later instead of oversizing it from day one. Keep in mind that your household habits may change, for instance after buying an electric car or a heat pump.
Materials and weather resistance
The battery uses LiFePO4 chemistry. The unit handles a temperature range of -20° to 55°, and its weather protection is listed as IP66 | C5-M Marine-Grade, which allows a sheltered outdoor position or an unheated technical room. Prolonged exposure to extreme heat is still best avoided.
Setting it up
- Pick a flat, solid base able to carry several stacked modules.
- Leave around the modules the clearance recommended in the manufacturer’s manual.
- Have the connection to the panels and to the distribution board made by a qualified installer.
- Check that your panels and inverter are compatible with the unit before buying anything extra.
What sets this pack apart
- A 28 kWh reserve in one bundle, without piecing together unrelated components.
- Room to grow up to 42 kWh.
- LiFePO4 chemistry and tolerance of both low and high temperatures.
Technical specifications
- Brand: Anker

Safety
Never open a module or pierce its casing. Use only cables suited to the currents involved, stay within the limits given in the manual, and keep the surroundings free of flammable material. Cut the power before any intervention.
Care and storage
A dry cloth is enough to dust the modules; avoid direct water jets on the connectors. If the pack will sit idle for a long period, leave the battery partly charged and keep it somewhere dry, away from hard frost.
