Storage that grows with your consumption
The EcoFlow STREAM Ultra X combines a battery module and conversion electronics in one enclosure. Its starting capacity is 3.84 kWh and, according to the specification, it can be raised to 23 kWh by adding modules. That scalability appeals to anyone who starts with modest needs but plans to increase self-consumption later.
On the output side, the grid-connected AC output reaches 1,200 W on a dedicated circuit, with a lower figure otherwise, as the technical list explains.
Where it fits and who it suits
For households
A home that already has a few panels on a balcony, garage or roof can park the afternoon’s production here and use it in the evening. Connection is described as plug and play through a 230 V outlet and an EcoFlow or Shelly smart meter.
For small organisations
A practice, a guesthouse or a club room with panels can use it to flatten its consumption curve. In that case, ask an installer which circuit to use.
Enclosure design
The module measures 42 x 29,4 x 46 cm and weighs 38,8 kg. Its IP65 rating permits outdoor placement, and the stated temperature range runs from −20 °C to +55 °C. A noise level of 30 dB is discreet, which matters if the unit sits near a window or terrace.
Solar input and connectivity
Four internal MPPT inputs of 500W each give 2000W max. in total. The MPPT voltage range is 15-60 V and each input accepts a maximum current of 14A (20A Isc). Check that your panel layout stays within those limits. Wifi and Bluetooth let you follow the system from a smartphone.

- Choose a sturdy support able to carry 38,8 kg.
- Leave room around the enclosure for air movement.
- Have the 230 V circuit that will feed the unit inspected.
- Read the manual before adding expansion modules.

Operating precautions
Never exceed the voltage and current values of the solar inputs. Use suitable cables, do not open the enclosure and do not cover its faces. An IP65 rating does not remove the need to pick a spot where water cannot pool.
Routine care
Dust the enclosure with a dry cloth, check the mountings and cable condition from time to time, and consult the manual before any extended shutdown.
