Three modules, 21 kWh of reserve
This bundle gathers a Solarbank Max main unit and two additional batteries from the Anker SOLIX range. Each storage module represents 7000 Wh (7 kWh), so the whole reaches 21 kWh. It is a mid-sized configuration, aimed at households that want real evening independence without going straight for the maximum volume: the architecture remains expandable up to 42 kWh.
Where and what for
A terraced or detached house
The day’s solar production is stored, then fed back from late afternoon onward. The more regular the evening consumption, the better a storage unit of this size finds its rhythm.
An office or a small farm
A business premises whose activity continues after sunset can lean on this kind of reserve to supply lighting, computers or cooling equipment. Have the required power validated by a specialist before choosing.
A step-by-step approach
Because the system can grow, nothing forces you to settle the final size today. Start with the three modules, watch for a few months how much of the reserve is used each evening and how full it gets on sunny days, then decide whether more capacity would really be put to work. This observation period costs nothing and helps avoid buying capacity that stays idle.
What the build data tell us
The batteries are of the LiFePO4 type. The manufacturer states a temperature range of -20° to 55° as well as IP66 | C5-M Marine-Grade protection, indications that point to equipment designed to cope with moisture and climate swings. That does not remove the need for a sensible location: a flat surface and a dry floor, with no standing water.
Preparing the installation
Before fitting, go through these points:
- Space available for three modules, with clearance for the cables.
- Compatibility between your panels, your inverter and the main unit, to be confirmed in the manufacturer’s documentation.
- Access to the distribution board, whose connection must be entrusted to a qualified installer.
The assembly itself involves handling heavy modules: work in pairs and wear handling gloves.
Strengths that can be drawn from the data
- A 21 kWh set to start with a solid base.
- Scalability up to 42 kWh.
- LiFePO4 chemistry and a wide temperature range.

Safety instructions
Keep the modules away from heat sources and flammable liquids. Do not use a module that is deformed or cracked. Respect the current and voltage limits in the manual, and only work on the connections after the whole system has been de-energised.
Routine care and storing
A dry wipe is generally enough. Now and then, check that the cables are secure and that the connectors show no sign of corrosion. For long-term storing, choose a dry place and leave the batteries partly charged.
