The Jackery Explorer 3000 v2 is a portable power station designed for situations where a simple travel battery falls short. With a capacity of 3072Wh, it can run a small workshop, a motorhome or a remote workstation for several hours, then recharge from the mains, from a vehicle or from solar panels. You plug in, press the button of the output you need, and your devices start without engine noise or exhaust fumes.
Who is it for, and what for?
For households
A family can use it to keep a fridge, a router and some lighting running during an outage, or for a weekend by a lake with no hookup. The 100W USB-C ports recharge a laptop, while the 12V/10A outlet suits vehicle accessories.
For professionals
Tradespeople, market traders, event crews and maintenance technicians get a quiet source for drills, lighting or measuring equipment, provided they check the power rating of each machine before connecting it.
Design and build
The manufacturer uses LiFePO4 chemistry for the battery. The case measures 41.6 x 32.5 x 30.5 cm and weighs 27kg, so it is carried with both hands, or by two people on rough ground. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity lets you monitor the unit and switch outputs from a phone.
Setup and connection
- Place the station on a flat, stable and dry surface, leaving free space around the vents.
- Connect the charging source of your choice: mains, car charger or solar panels on the two DC8020 ports.
- Then plug in your devices, adding up their power to stay under the continuous limit.
Any link to a home electrical system must be carried out by a qualified installer; refer to the manufacturer’s manual.

Safety guidance
Never exceed the stated power figures, and use cables whose cross-section matches the current drawn. Keep the vents clear so heat can escape, and do not run the unit in a confined space. As no ingress protection rating is provided, keep the station away from rain and splashing water.
Care and storage
Wipe the case with a dry cloth, keep the station in a mild, ventilated room, and top up the charge from time to time if it stays idle for a long period. Follow the manual’s recommendations on storage duration.
