Choosing a connected plug
A smart plug sits between a wall socket and an appliance so you can control it remotely. In a solar setup, it helps you decide which device receives the energy produced and when. The two models shown here come from energy-system brands and work with their respective apps.
Before choosing, look at the stated maximum current: a 16 A plug such as the Anker handles a heavier load than a low-rated model. Also check that the target appliance stays within that limit and that the plug is compatible with your app or battery. A connected plug is not a substitute for electrical protection: it should not be used to run several very power-hungry devices. For a heater or a high-power appliance, check the stated limit. Both references are listed at the same price, which makes comparison easier according to the brand of your installation.
