A cable for two families of connectors
The term “aviation” connector usually means a round locking plug, as opposed to flat or rectangular plugs. This Bluetti cable carries one at one end, of the M28 range type, and a P090D-type connector at the other. It is used to join two items from the same product world that do not share the same plug. The data received gives no voltage, current, length or material: everything electrical must be checked in the manuals.
Where it fits
At home
In a garage, a hobby workshop or a garden shed, it helps to arrange a backup supply made up of several blocks tidily. Once the link is made, there is no need to touch it again as long as the configuration stays the same.
In the field
For a travelling tradesperson, a sound technician or a maintenance team, an extra link cable stops a job from grinding to a halt because a connector is missing. Its small size makes it easy to carry in a toolbox.
What can be said about its design
The product is a power cable fitted with a round aviation-type plug on one side and a P090D connector on the other. The available information does not say whether the aviation plug screws on, locks with a quarter turn or in some other way: look at it on the device and follow the manual.
Setting up
- Switch off the device and disconnect the loads.
- Line up the aviation plug with its socket, noting any visible lugs or marks.
- Lock it as the manual describes, without forcing the threads or locking parts.
- Connect the other end to the P090D port and switch on again.
If the connection concerns a permanent installation or the household network, a qualified installer must be involved.
Strengths
- Links a round aviation-type connector to a P090D connector.
- Avoids makeshift adaptations on power sockets.
- A product from a well-known name in portable power stations.

Mind the space around the plug
A round locking plug needs room to be turned and gripped, so leave a few centimetres of clearance around the socket.
Safety
Do not plug or unplug the cable while a heavy load is running. Make sure the locking is complete before switching on, because a poorly seated plug will heat up. Keep the whole assembly dry as long as no protection rating is given, and never pull on the cable to separate the connectors.
Care and storage
Keep the contacts clean and dry, without grease or solvent. Store the cable loosely coiled, with a cap or small bag over the round plug if you have one, to protect it from knocks and dust between uses.
