From USB-C to Lightning
This cable from Xtorm’s Xtreme range has two different plugs: a USB-C plug on the source side and a Lightning plug on the device side. It is useful to anyone with a charger, a power bank or a computer that has a USB-C port and who wants to connect an Apple device with a Lightning socket to it. It avoids piling up adapters or keeping an older generation of chargers.
Instructions
Insert the USB-C plug into the source, then the Lightning plug into the device, without force and in line. Remove them by holding the plugs. Do not bend the cable against the body of the device while in use.
Everyday and business uses
A private user can leave it plugged into a wall charger in the living room or the hallway, where the phone ends up each evening. In a small shop, a practice or a shared office, it equips a communal charger that several people use in turn. In a car or a motorhome, it links a device to a USB-C port, if the vehicle has one.
- charging a Lightning device from a USB-C source;
- a spare cable to keep in a bag or a vehicle;
- a shared charger in a busy spot.
Construction and materials
The sheath combines woven nylon and DuPont™ Kevlar® fibre. This combination aims to reinforce the cable where it is under most stress. The weight is 50 g for 1.5 m of cable. This model is made by Xtorm, in the Xtreme range.
Installation and choice of source
No assembly is needed. However, the data provided state neither the power nor the data rate: consult the instructions for the charger and for the device to find out what the whole set-up accepts, and check that your model really has a Lightning socket. Avoid plugging the cable into a source whose characteristics you do not know.
Why 1.5 m
This length leaves some slack without turning into a tangle. It lets you put the device on a coffee table, a desk or an armrest while staying connected to a nearby socket. For a bed far from the socket, a longer cable will be more comfortable.

Safety, care and storage
Never use a cable whose conductors are visible or whose plug is deformed. Leave air around the charger and the device while charging, and do not cover the set-up with a cushion or a garment. Keep the cable dry. To maintain it, wipe it with a dry or barely damp cloth once unplugged. Store it in a large loop, away from heat sources and sharp objects.
