Two USB ports in a pocket-sized body
The Xtorm Volt is a minimalist mains charger: a plug on one side and two USB outputs on the other. It is built for small devices that charge over USB, such as a phone, wireless earbuds, a smartwatch or a compact speaker. Two outputs let you share charging between two devices without taking up two wall sockets.
Who is it for, and when?
Family life
During a stay in the countryside, a couple can plug two phones into the same unit in the evening, in the bedroom. Children get a charging point for a tablet or handheld console, as long as those devices are happy with the output values listed below.
Work settings
In a tradesman’s van, a waiting room or a trade-fair stand, a charger of this size quickly helps out a colleague or a visitor whose phone has run flat.
Size and build
The housing measures 80 x 40 x 28 mm and weighs 53 g. That lightness explains why it can stay permanently in a gym bag, a wash bag or the glove compartment. The material is not specified, so handle it with the usual care due to an electrical device.
How to put it into use
- Insert the charger into a clear wall socket.
- Plug your devices’ USB cables into the two outputs.
- Watch for charging to begin on each screen.
- Remove the cables first, then the charger from the socket.
The two outputs do not deliver the same current: 5V/1A for one and 5V/2,4A for the other. It can make sense to keep the stronger output for whichever device draws the most; the manufacturer’s manual explains how each port is meant to be used.
A tip for hotel rooms and shared lodgings: label your charger or note where you plugged it in, since small blocks like this are easy to leave behind in a wall socket when you check out.
What to remember
- Two USB outputs for two devices at once.
- Universal input from 100 to 240 V.
- A format of 80 x 40 x 28 mm for just 53 g.

Using it safely
Only connect devices designed to run on a 5 V USB supply. Keep the charger dry and do not handle it with wet hands. Avoid leaving it plugged in unattended in a room where children play, and never cover it with laundry or a cushion. Replace any cable whose sheath is damaged.
Care and storage
A dry cloth is enough to clean the housing, once the charger has been unplugged. The USB ports can be dusted with a soft brush, never with a metal object. Keep it in a drawer or an inside pocket, away from damp, with its cables coiled without tension.
